We invited seven journalists to our workshops to create a bespoke bag in just three hours. The full team of craftsmen and designers were involved, firstly helping to put the components together then in its construction. This was a great opportunity for me to share in the processes behind crafting unique designs and by inviting these key titles to build their very own unique version of the classic Bill Amberg Selvage Tug we hope to give a little glimpse of how it all works – and how much fun it is!

We liked their bags so much that we’ve decide to carry on producing them and they will be available for sale in our stores and online.

10% of each bag sold will go to Molly’s Fund part of The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery Development Foundation (for further information please call 020 7829 8724)

Each bag will retail from £165 – view the full collection here

Joining us in the workshop for the day were:

Mark Heyes – GMTV
Sophie Ferguson-Jones – Grazia
Nisha Diu – Stella
Victoria Bain – Telegraph Magazine
Helen Boyle – This Morning TV
Jane Taylor-Hayhurst – The Times Magazine
Katie Lester – You Magazine

Rory Carnegie captured the spirit of the day with some great portraits.

I worked at the Jam Factory in Adelaide Australia for a year in 1982. Guided by my mentor Gay Arnold an amazing craftsperson who taught me so much. These are all examples of cuir brule hand dyed and wet moulded.
