Selvedge

The Selvedge collection owes its existence to an epiphany in a Somerset tarpaulin factory. Looking at the tarps and tractor covers, Bill Amberg was struck by the possibility of using English canvas to craft a bag that was almost indestructible. Using the materials available at the factory, paired with vegetable-tanned white leather, Bill created a range of beautifully simple and astonishingly strong bags that pay tribute to Britain’s maritime industry – hence their names: Tug, Lugger and Launch.
