Bill Amberg believes that a bag should be with you for a lifetime, so every piece is designed and crafted to last.

We select the finest traditional materials for their lasting beauty – full grain leather, cast metal, softest cotton or toughest canvas. Our craftspeople make sure that every cut, fold, stitch or rivet has the perfect fit and finish that only comes from years of experience.

But although defects are rare, it’s possible that over time, a zip might start to misbehave, a lock might break, or general wear and tear might mean your bag is in need of some TLC.

We offer a repairs service where your bag is looked after by our master leatherworker John. An experienced leather specialist and bag doctor, John can restitch unruly seams, fit replacement hardware and perform most fixes needed to bring your bag back to life.

Repairs generally take 4–8 weeks. Before we start work, we’ll assess each bag and send you a quote detailing the cost (if it turns out to be a manufacturing defect, the repair will be on us). Repair costs are dependent on the age and condition of the product and the nature of the fix required.

Please note that although we aim for perfection, sometimes repairs may result in some colour or material variation depending on the style and age of the bag, and repairs may not be possible for some older bag styles.

If you have a Bill Amberg bag that needs a bit of help, email your details and a few photos and we’ll get back in touch to let you know what we can do.
