Cleveland Street

For the restoration of this period Art Deco building in London’s Fitzrovia, we were asked to create leatherwork that would act to soften the geometric elements used in its double-height reception area. The finished building provides contemporary office space set out over seven floors.

Working with the architect and a specialist joinery firm, we created an L-shaped banquette upholstered in a warm tan leather that would complement the timber-clad desk and walls – both constructed from vertical oak batons. A characterful tight fluted detailing was employed for the upholstery, which draws on 1930’s Art Deco design influences.
