Notting Hill Project: A Study in Elegance and Contemporary Craftsmanship

Bespoke leatherwork, designed in collaboration with Peter Mikic Interiors and Rundell Associates, a bespoke architecture studio. Featured in Architectural Digest, January 2025.

Sophisticated Craftsmanship Meets Luxurious Design

This bespoke bar is a striking centrepiece that reflects bold, fashionable design and modern craftsmanship. The padded leather edge and front are made from Burgundy vegetable-tanned shoulder leather, selected for its rich tone and heavy tumbled grain, offering an inviting tactile experience. The deep hue contrasts beautifully with the polished brass shelving and blush-toned onyx backdrop, creating a dynamic mix of textures and materials. Expert leatherwork complements the space’s eclectic architectural character, lending the bar a timeless appeal.

A Bespoke Dressing Room

This sophisticated dressing room epitomises luxury. At its heart is a stunning central island, fully clad in leather, with the top and sides wrapped in soft, blush-toned hide. Suede-lined drawers enhance functionality while adding a tactile, opulent touch.
The bespoke shelving and pull-out shoe trays are lined with pink calfskin, each bordered by a padded and stitched perimeter for a seamless and refined finish. This thoughtful detailing ensures durability while enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the space.

A Bespoke Walk-In Wardrobe

This walk-in wardrobe showcases the beauty of vegetable-tanned leather and expert craftsmanship. The shelves are lined and backed with deep red vegetable-tanned shoulder leather, chosen for its rich colour, distinctive grain, and timeless character. Each piece of leather is skived—a meticulous process of thinning the edges to achieve a seamless finish and ensure an impeccable fit across surfaces.

Pull-out shoe trays are also lined with this leather, complemented by polished brass divider rods. Together, these details create a design that balances function and style, making the space a tactile and visual delight.

Incorporating Leatherwork Across Diverse Locations and Elements

This project exemplifies how bespoke leatherwork can be seamlessly integrated into various elements of a home—from functional yet elegant bar detailing to luxurious dressing rooms and wardrobes. The versatility of leather as a material elevates both the aesthetics and functionality of any interior space.
