Stack Table

The Stack technique is the result of in-house experiments designed to explore the possibilities of leather as a structural material, while also serving as a method for recycling workshop offcuts.

The tabletop is supported by legs and a frame crafted from either solid brass, black walnut, or another timber of your choice. It is composed of hundreds of leather off-cuts from studio projects. Inspired by the traditional practice of layering leather to make shoe heels, the Stack Table achieves its distinctive surface through the literal "stacking" of leather strips. This process creates a naturally emerging, random pattern of coloured stripes. Once bonded and sanded, the table becomes smooth and stable, perfect as a desk or suited to various other applications, while contributing to the circular use of leather.
