New collection of handmade lighting from Bill Amberg Studio
We are pleased to introduce our first foray into lighting, the Loom Collection. The collection comprises a series of woven leather lights in four elegant and adaptable configurations designed and handmade in our London studio.
The Loom Collection shares thoughtful and contemporary detailing, such as softly curved steel framework with an antique brass finish, spun base plates and lighting caps, and a choice of either hand-knotted woven leather cord or machine-woven leather sleeves offered in two colourways. Each piece plays with the use of shadow effects, with a delicate glow radiating through woven leather from high quality LED lighting.
The hand-knotted woven leather cord is offered in two finishes, a natural finish which will darken and patinate with time and a rich dark brown. Reminiscent of nautical knots, lengths of vegetable-tanned leather cord are hand-braided by our workshop team in north London. The alternate machine-woven leather sleeves are also offered in the same two colourways, and are specially made to order using traditional leather looms from northern Italy.
